Vikram Goyal, PhD

I am working as an Associate Professor in Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D) since 2008.
I did my Ph.D in Computer Science from IIT Delhi in 2009. My thesis was on "Auditing SQL Queries for Privacy Violation Detection".
My research interests are in the areas of Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Data Privacy, and Information Security. With in this space, I have completed a couple of projects with DST, India and Deity, India on the problems related to Privacy in Location-based services and Digitized Document Fraud Detection, respectively. I am affiliated with the IIIT-D Data Engineering , Infosys Centre for Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity Education and Research Centre . I am currently advising the following graduate students: Anuj Shanker Saxena (Co-supervisor: Dr. Debajyoti Bera ), Siddharth Dawar (Co-Supervisor: Dr. Debajyoti Bera), Srikanth Baride , and Ramneek Kaur (Co-supervisor: Dr. Venkata M. Viswanath Gunturi).

I had the privilege of chairing a committee with Prof. Smruti R. Sarangi (IIT Delhi) to look into the current CBSE Computer Science curriculum, and propose a new curriculum. The recommendations made by the committee is available here.
