Pushpendra is a Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and Dept. of Human-Centered Design at IIIT-Delhi. His research is at the interactions of mobile computing and human-computer interaction with a focus on technologies for low-resource settings, especially in the context of Public Health. Pushpendra is a recipient of the prestigious Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grant for developing mobile-based learning platforms for community health workers. He is a Visvesvaraya Young Faculty Fellow. 
Pushpendra was the founding head of Center for Design and New Media (an initiative of Tata Foundation and supported by TCS) and also the founding head of the Dept. of Human-Centered Design.
Pushpendra has received the best educator award thrice at IIIT-Delhi. He received his PhD in Mobile Computing from Inria-Rennes (Universite de Rennes 1), France, Master's degree in Computer Science and Education from IIT-Delhi. Pushpendra manages Mélange Research Group
