Anirban Mondal is an Associate Professor in the Indraprastha Institute 
of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D). Prior to this, from 2002-2009,
he was a Research Associate at the Kitsuregawa Laboratory,
University of Tokyo, JAPAN. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science
in 2003. He had completed his Bachelor of Technology (with Honours)
in Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, INDIA in 1998. 
 
His research interests include data management in Peer-to-Peer
environments and Mobile-Peer-to-Peer networks, business intelligence,
GRID computing, spatial data management, Geographic Information
systems, indexing and load-balancing for distributed multi-dimensional
databases. During the past few years, he has designed various
economic incentive models to incentivize peer participation
in Mobile-P2P networks. 
 
He had been awarded the prestigious JSPS (Japanese Society for
Promotion of Science) Fellowship from September 2003-September 2005.
He has published several papers and given invited talks in international
database conferences. He is serving as a PC member of various database
conferences and workshops and acting as a reviewer for various
database journals such as IEEE TKDE, VLDB journal, IEEE
Transactions on Computers. He is also serving as a program
chair/co-chair of international workshops such as PDMST and GRep.
